You guys can argue about mini-vans all you want. I want an AWD 2020 Transit. Full size or death!

T hese just don’t feel like proper full size vans . The old E-series felt like am actual van , t hese are just really weird cars . It’s something about the styling that makes it feel less like a utility vehicle and more like it grew from a minivan.

If I could fit the right wheel and tire combo hell yeah.

yeah but
(having worked with fleet vehicles... ford n fiat are my least favourite....always breaking... vw n merc break less often... but more expensively)

Dual cab chassis AWD for me!! If Ford Oz plays along...
Unfortunately, the Iveco Daily 4x4 and the M-B Sprinter AWD are just a bit too pricey...and the VW Transporter 4Motion is both expensive and DSG equipped only.
It is also worth pointing out that the Transit AWD does not have the most powerful of the TDi motors in the new series...

The AWD transits with the 2.0 bi-turbo diesel are the van lifers blank canvas wet dream.

No - it is still the Age of Aerostar:

I find it debastatingly pathetic that it shows the "AdBlue" logo with the trademark.

I hear mixed reviews of the 2.0. Most people aren’t very impressed compared to the outgoing 3.2 and thats not good considering people here aren’t terribly impressed with the 3.2

My aunt had one of these. Even back then I knew it was bad/ugly.

I suppose it depends where in the world the reviews are coming from.
But also bear in mind my current TDi van engine is a 2.5 litre 5 cylinder that once created just 75kW and 250 nM. The engine in the AWD Transit drops 96 kW and 385 torques and the most powerful of the engines drops 125 kW and 405 torques....so either of those would be a massive improvement on what I have !

nah, the old Econoline/Express style vans are utter dogshit compared to these. IIRC the smallest Transit you can get in the US is as big as (or just a bit smaller) than the biggest E-Series van you could get. plus you can get multiple roof heights without needing to have an upfitter butcher it first. plus there’s the whole “you no longer need to drive with your feet shifted to the left because of that goddamn engine doghouse” thing.

yes.

define “not very impressed.” Until Transit got here in 2014, the van lineup lacked a diesel option since 2007 when the 6.0 Powerstroke was (mercifully) axed. So, wondering what they’re comparing it to.

Nah. The E-series is merely a relic of a very distant past. The Transit is a normal and rather competent full size van.

So you’ll go for the Transit L4 H4.
I’ll have a compact, mini van.
ford Fiesta or Vauxhall Corsa.
